Staff like sleeping pills. I've been there at least 10 times and drank tea and 9 times a minimum was forgotten to add sugar. If you always have to get up yourself to serve yourself, I don't really know what the waitress is doing ...

My tip to start this week: If you have never been to “black and white”, you should visit it. Despite Corona, the black and white team is there for us every day. With a good café, wonderful cakes and a great breakfast. For many years I have always enjoyed coming back to “black and white” because it's a wonderful café - real café culture for over 30 years. ☕️?? That cannot be taken for granted, especially in today's world. Because the gastronomy is recording a massive drop in sales due to the current situation. Just by taking the necessary distances, 30% goes away. That is hard! Many had to give up. I love good cafe. And that's why I am grateful every time I get a latte macchiato from you that you are at the start !! ❤️ Today I would like to say “thank you” with this review. It is always easier to complain sustainably. Too often it is unfortunately forgotten to say just as effectively when something is really good. We very often take that for granted. But it is not. Good cake. Cold establishment. Something reminds me of a canteen. But the café is always well attended.

Cake. Top cake at a great price. Setup is a bit simple and service is a bit overwhelmed with hygiene rules and many customers (but tried hard)

Everything just tastes really good. And the dish of the day always surprises. Be sure to ask about the beetroot ravioli on lentils with mustard sauce. That should happen every day ...

I've been going there for 15 years, mega yummy and a place to stay!

The food was consistently delicious. Unfortunately, the salad was perhaps not quite appropriate to the price and instead of the scrambled eggs ordered, there was wrongly fried egg. Despite everything, it is definitely worth a visit.

There is homemade cake and good coffee, very tasty. ?☕?We were here for Christmas, but after a nice walk through Darmstadt to the Herrengarten, the café needs a little renovation. Neither toilet went at all that was not so great.

Best ? Garten in DA in my opinion.

Croissant was great. It’s a bit pricy for what I got.

I found the pear cake here that I want to grow old with ... sensational !! Luckily, it's still the biggest piece I've ever had in a coffee shop. Also the coffee tastes fantastic. Since I like to take a longer wait around the lunch break in the purchase - the cafe was very well visited. It is simply furnished inside and somehow has French charm, why can not I say exactly. I'd like to come back - great here! Meanwhile, I have been here several times and would say: here's the best cake from Darmstadt! ?? All previously tasted cakes taste and are homemade. Fantastic!

Nice English breakfast. The spot in which the place is nested is a very nice and old one in the city.

My favorite Café!!! I recommend it!! There's no better place for a brunch or a coffee and cake time in Darmstadt. I know many places but here I feel always welcome. I know the good guy who prepares the recipes and he's doing great. Croissants are awesome and the coffee as well (very foamy). Portions are more than expected. The cake portions are huge. I always take my friends there and they can't believe their eyes! Just marvelous!!!

Great place for drinks, but not necessarily for food.

We had to wait 25 minutes for our breakfast, cars where quiet loud, tables small, coffee is OK and you have a frei.funk access.

If you don't mind overpriced food and drinks, go ahead. It's in the middle of the park, so the place is nice.
